Measuring dark energy with the WiggleZ Survey We present new measurements of the cosmic expansion history and growth history over the last 7 billion years, using data from the WiggleZ Dark Energy Survey of 200,000 galaxy redshifts. We have used baryon acoustic oscillations in the galaxy distribution as a standard ruler to measure the distance-redshift relation at z=0.6, and redshift-space distortions in the clustering pattern to determine the growth rate with 10% accuracy to redshift z=0.9. We show that a cosmological constant model of dark energy is able to simultaneously fit both the expansion and growth data. |
