On Galilean invariant scalar field theories in curved space time The Gravitationally enhanced friction (GEF) is a mechanism that drastically increases the friction acting on a scalar field making even steep potential good enough for inflation. In this talk I will show that the Lagrangian producing the GEF is the unique Galilean invariant theory in curved spacetime. Finally, I shall show that the curved spacetime Galilean symmetry protects the GEF Lagrangian under quantum corrections. |
