Biographic notes
My research interests are in the area of star formation, with focus on embedded clusters, massive stars, outflows, disks and large scale properties of star formation. I am an observational astronomer using the infrared and millimeter data to carry out my research and I also use various modeling methods. In particular, the radiative transfer modeling of SEDs are conducted for massive YSOs, the statistical properties of embedded clusters are modeled by nearest neighbour method and minimum spanning tree methods by Stefan Schmeja with whom I work closely on these topics. I am also involved in wide field infrared imaging studies of star forming regions, particularly exploiting the WFCAM on UKIRT, the upcoming VISTA and the Spitzer Space Telescope data. The wide field imaging studies are used to understand the statistical aspects of star formation on the scales of Giant molecular clouds.
