He was a Assistant Lecturer from 1993 up to 1996, and since then he is a Lecturer at the Department of Applied Mathematics, in the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. Current research interest focus on young stars and early stage of evolution, stellar winds and stellar activity. He is also involved in education and popularization of Astronomy.
