Biographic notes
Main research interests include the search for Extrasolar planets using radial-velocity and transit techniques, the study of the statistical properties of extrasolar planets and their host stars, and the use of high resolution stellar spectroscopy for the determination of stellar atmospheric parameters and abundances in solar-type stars. In this context I am the national Co-PI of the ESPRESSO project for a new high resolution ultra-stable spectrograph for the VLT, and board member of the CHEOPS/ESA mission.

Other interests include the study of low mass star formation (in the near-IR), stellar multiplicity in young stars, and the chemical properties of star forming regions.
