The reduction of data obtained during the 1995 observing run was carried out using CGS4DR, FIGARO and IDL routines written specifically for this work. To reduce the data from the integrations stage to the sky subtracted stage the general procedure described in Section 3.1 was followed and only CGS4DR was used. The positive and negative beams of each spectral image were optimally extracted using the FIGARO implementation of Horne's algorithm. If any of the beams showed ripple they were de-rippled and then combined using CGS4's task subtract_two_images.
