Sample of Observed T Tauri Stars

The sample of objects observed is presented in Table 2.1. It consists of 50 T Tauri stars from the Taurus-Auriga complex, four of which are WTTS and the remaining are CTTS, as classified in the Herbig-Bell Catalogue [Herbig & Bell 1988]. Included in the sample are all stars from the Edwards et al. (1994) sample (15 stars that span the range of T Tauri stars properties around spectral type K7) with the exception of AS353A. AS353A was not observed since it was not above two airmasses during the second (UT9512) observing run. During the first run (UT9410) only a few stars from the Edwards et al. (1994) sample could be observed. With the sample presented here the range of spectral types observed is widened relative to the Edwards et al. (1994) sample. T Tauri stars with spectral types earlier than K5V and later than M0V were observed. The WTTS were chosen in order to sample those T Tauri stars that lack signs of large activity.
