Abstract
HARPS-N@TNG is the northern copy of the successful Doppler-velocimeter HARPS@3.6-m in La Silla, Chile. It has been conceived to enable the radial-velocity confirmation and follow-up of Kepler transiting planet candidates within the awarded GTO. In parallel, a search for rocky exoplanets (RPS programme) was carried out. In my talk I will present the instrument and its performances, provide an overview of the scientific results achieved during the first 3.5 years of operations, discuss selected technical challenges, and present planned upgrades and future scientific programmes of HARPS-N.
