Slicing the Universe with MUSE and a few other things

Abstract
I will give a quick overview of what my main areas of interest are and then move on to discuss the results from the first year of pixel spectroscopy of the sky with the MUSE instrument. This includes a survey of the Orion nebula, globular clusters in our Milky Way and deep extragalactic spectra of almost blank fields - and a brief look at some solar system objects as well. I will conclude with a discussion of the potential of MUSE for deep blank field spectroscopy - effectively pixel spectroscopy of the sky and review some recent results on the extent of Ly-a emitters in the z>3 Universe.
