The delta Scuti phenomenon as seen through the Kepler data

Abstract
The first analysis of the long-awaited space data by asteroseismologists has raised more questions than it resolved (Grigahcene et al. 2010, ApJ). Particularly the data on delta Scuti stars gave wealthy frequency spectra. Some authors claimed the detection of more than 1000 modes (CoRoT observations)!! Which is far beyond any theoretical prediction, especially when photometric cancellation effects are taken into account.
We will discuss in this presentation the delta Scuti phenomenon under the light shed by Kepler on it. Statistics, comparison with ground-based observations and theoretical models are the main guidelines of this talk.
