The CORALIE spectrograph, based on the 1.2-m Swiss telescope at the ESO La Silla Observatory, and well known for its detection of p-modes on Cen A, was used to observe the star Eri in November 2001. We report here the first detection of acoustic modes on a K0 subgiant based on high precision radial velocity measurements. The power spectrum of the velocity time series clearly shows several identifiable peaks between 0.5 and 0.9 mHz with a maximal amplitude of about 160 cm s-1, higher than theoretical predictions.
