We present new evolutionary tracks for DB white dwarfs. These new computations include the effects of diffusion and explain the connection between the PG1159 phase and the DB phase of cooling white dwarfs along with the C-pollution phenomenon observed in the cooler DQ stars. With these more realistic models we present an interpretation of the period structure of the pulsating DB white dwarf GD358.
