Cosmonata is an event dedicated to the debate of ideas and the sharing of common interest in Cosmology in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. It is organized during the Christmas holiday break so that researchers working in Portugal and outside the country may participate. A main objective is to ignite contacts, promote the diffusion of ideas and awareness of the work of excellence being carried out by Portuguese Cosmology researchers, worldwide.
Please note that, unless specified, all of the information on this page concerns the event in Porto/CAUP. If you're seeking more information on the event taking place in Lisbon/CAAUL, please visit the general page of Cosmonata.
This year, the event will happen simultaneously in CAAUL and CAUP. A video-conference system will allow to connect both locations during the common live sessions. At CAUP the video-conference sessions will be carried out in room 108 (first floor).
ParticipationParticipants are encouraged to present themselves and, if they wish, give a summary of their research interests/activities. The time alotted for each person is limited and formal presentations are discouraged. A white-board is available for those willing to use it.
We will also have pasteis de nata for everyone!
Cosmonata is not a formal meeting and thus there is no formal registration. However, due to logistic contraints, we thank those intending to participate at CAUP, to contact the organizers below to confirm their attendance.Social Programme
