MODCONV - Stellar Models Conversion Tool

In order to facilitate the exchange of stellar models produced by
different evolution codes, both for the comparison of the models and for
the calculation of their frequencies of oscillation, a simple tool (in
FORTRAN) has been created. This will read a model in a specific format in
order to produce an output file in a different format as given in the
latest version of the File Formats used within CoRoT/ESTA available at:

The list of conversions already available (more will be implemented as
necessary) and further details on the programme can be found at the

In order to use this tool you will need to compile it by entering "make
convert". If necessary please adapt the command line for the Fortran
compiler in the file "Makefile".

The lastest version is MODCONV 0.3:

1) new updated formats have been implemented for:
       FGONG (version 300)
       SROX (full)
       FADML (compatible with ADIPLS)
2) new conversions have been implemented:
       FGONG -> SROX
       SROX -> FGONG
3) a few small errors have been corrected

 WARNING: This is not a fully functional version of all subroutines, it
has not been fully tested, and some of the conversions are not fully
executed (some items are not included in the output). Please use with
caution and let me know of any serious (and no-so-serious) errors you may
find, as well as of any addition that should be implemented. With
everyone's help we will try to improve it as much as possible.
