Resumo
Precise stellar parameters are important in understanding the formation and evolution not only for stars but for their planets as well. I will talk about the method of deriving stellar parameters for solar-type stars by measuring the iron lines. I will also present some results of the HARPS survey from Sousa 2008 & 2011 and their impact on planet surveys.
