AGN Activity in Galaxies
Andrew J. Humphrey
IA
This two-lecture advanced course aims to provide a focused discussion of
several topics related to AGN activity in galaxies, avoiding significant
overlap with the excellent undergraduate/graduate lecture courses already
presented by other colleagues. Main topics to be discussed include:
- Warm gas-phase chemical abundances
- Photoionization modeling of warm-ionized regions
- Evidence for AGN activity in dwarf galaxies
- Lyman-alpha halos at z>2 and associated absorbing shells
Session 1: Session 129 April 2015
Duration: 1 hour

Session 2: Session 219 May 2015
Duration: 1 hour
